The frame is made in aluminium alloy. The weight is 30% less than the original. To achieve this objective and maintain the same torsional flex characteristics of the steel alloy version, the engine, footpeg and sospension brackets and headstock are machined from billet to distributes optimally the load on themselves. All the components are joint using interference pin technologie. This allows to direct the forces generated from the frame work to the components and not to the welds.

This week we have shipped this Superbike 1198 frame.
Tha main differences respect the street frame is the material and thickness of the tubes. The frame is built in steel alloy 25CrMo4, Tig welded. Morover there’s a lower cross-bar connecting the tubes, closed to the steering head pipe. These modifications were introduced to contribute to a greater rigidity of the frame. Lastly the footpeg brackets are cut from billet and it's added a reinforcement on the cross-bar rear suspension distribuites optimally the load on it.
The frame is designed to be mounted with RS components. But, as in these pictures, with small upgrades and the adding of the fuel tank holder and steering damper bracket, you can use it on 1098/1198 R or S or on 848.
